In 2005, True/Fiction introduced a new concept in their performance calendar: Friction.

Friction is a semi-regular event curated by True/Fiction, featuring the best in new drama, music, film, comedy...pretty much anything really! Performances are presented as rough, raw and brand new, allowing artists to air their work-in-progress in front of an audience for the very first time. Artists receive useful feedback as they develop their pieces in the future, and audiences enjoy an exclusive sneak-peak at the future of contemporary performance! Past evenings have included award winning stand-up comedy, blistering new plays, short films from the UK's most promising film-makers, and music from London's brightest, young things.

After a short hiatus, we will be reintroducing Friction in late 2008, and will be seeking artists from all fields who would be interested in being considered for one of our evenings.
