About

Mission:
to create and present vibrant, highly-visual theatrical works, and pursue excellence in every aspect of production, bringing together artist-collaborators from all theatrical disciplines to create work that is vital, investigative, and passionate.
"a wealth of talent... challenging"
Throughout the company's work, every facet feeds from every other; a tightly knit marriage of text, physicality, film, music and technical capabilities. The company's work ranges from original, devised pieces to adaptations of classic literature and performance texts, all of which investigate what it is to tell a story and to be a sentient human being in the modern world. Past successes include a rare British premiere of three Will Eno short plays, Linda Mclean's Riddance and Neil Labute's Bash:Latterday Plays.
"compelling...entertaining...fascinating"
theatre in wales (of The Exquisite Corpse)
The development of new work through workshops and laboratory sessions is an integral part of True/Fiction Theatre; to this end we started a new concept in performance in 2005 with Friction: evenings in which developing theatre, film and music is brought together and workshopped publicly in order to share ideas and receive feedback. More details can be found on our Involvement page.
